MOE WATER SAMPLING RESULTS, ARSENIC
MOIRA RIVER AT HIGHWAY #7
July and August, 2001

These lab results were obtained by special request from the Ministry of the Environment. They show that, since July 26, arsenic concentrations in the Moira River have exceeded the MOE's Certificate of Approval (C of A) for the site by up to 75%. The C of A, issued in July 1982 states that "the treated effluent loading to the [Moira] river must not contribute to river arsenic concentrations above 0.2 mg/l at any time."
